Question to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, pursuant to the Answer of 12 October 2017 to Question 107540, on local government: accountability, whether his Department has made any progress on further steps to ensure compliance.

That work is still underway and I will update the House when that work has concluded. The government remains committed to the transparency agenda and in ensuring that local authorities are accountable to citizens.
