The Department and NHS Improvement fully support the implementation of local, small-scale renewable energy sources that improve the resilience of the estate and drive a reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions. NHS Improvement is actively working with National Health Service providers to drive and implement improvements in these technologies, which include solar power, wind power and battery storage.
