Question to the Ministry of Defence:
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will review the rules of the Armed Forces Pension Scheme relating to widows who remarried prior to 1 April 2015.
This question was answered on 20th February 2018
The Government recognises the unique commitment that Service families make to their country and remains sympathetic to the circumstances of this group of widows. However, there are no plans to review the rules relating to widows, on the Armed Forces Pension Scheme that remarried prior to 1 April 2015.
