The immunisation programme is demand-led and the Department does not allocate a fixed budget.

Public Health England receives funding to support the delivery of routine vaccination programmes in England.

As part of the NHS Mandate, NHS England receives funding to commission a range of public health services including routine vaccination programmes. NHS England meets the cost of administering vaccines and also pays a prescribing fee and reimburses the cost of those vaccines that are locally procured by general practitioners and pharmacies.
