Question to the Department for Work and Pensions:
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, how many and what proportion of new claims for jobseeker's allowance and employment and support allowance were processed within five days in 2017.
The information requested is set out in the table below. As the Department’s performance measure is to process claims to JSA and ESA within 10 working days, this information is also included.
