No estimate has been made of the department’s use of disposable cups that are used each year and sent for recycling.

Staff and visitors are encouraged to dispose of waste appropriately and use recycling bins where it is appropriate to do so. The department has achieved an overall waste reduction of 52% since 2009/10 and recycling levels in 2016-17 were at 74%.
