Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent representations he has made to his counterpart in the Iran Government on the ratification by that country of an Additional Protocol to its safeguards agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

I met Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif in Tehran in early December to reiterate the UK's commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA). This includes a commitment by Iran to proceed with ratification of the Additional Protocol.
