Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment the Government has made of the potential effect of the UK leaving the EU on the work of the Competition and Markets Authority.

The Government is working closely with the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) to understand the implications on its work of the UK leaving the EU. The Government will continue to work with the CMA on this as the negotiations with the EU proceed.
