The department collects data on local authority spend on a range of services for children and young people, published annually in the statistical first releases available at: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/statistics-local-authority-school-finance-data.

Local authorities are not required to provide separate data regarding spend on children provided with support under section 47 of the Children Act 1989.
