Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what proportion of patients had access to evening and weekend GP appointments in (a) March 2017 and (b) October 2017.

In keeping with the National Health Service Operational Planning and Contract Guidance 2016, clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) have put in place plans to ensure full national coverage by March 2019.

Data is not available for March and October 2017 yet, however, planned rollout trajectory from the initial CCG plans collated at the beginning of the year is detailed below. This is split into two 6 month periods labelled H1 (projected number as at 30 September 2017) and H2 (projected number as at 31 March 2018) for 2017/18.
