We continue to work with Qatar, and other regional countries, to ensure those still in Afghanistan are able to depart the country safely if they wish to do so. This includes holding the Taliban to their commitment to ensure safe passage.

Commercial flight operations to regional capitals have restarted at a small number of airports in Afghanistan. We advise British nationals to take account of any safety notices published by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) when considering whether to use an air carrier.

British nationals in Afghanistan can contact consular staff by phone, and consular assistance is available at embassies and high commissions in third countries.
