Community Diagnostic Centres: Osteoporosis

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has made an estimate of the number of community diagnostic centres that have bone densitometry scanning facilities.

As of mid-January 2024, 19 community diagnostic centres (CDCs) are delivering dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) testing, with plans for five more CDCs to start providing DEXA tests by the end of 2023/24.
