Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:
To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what assessment he has made of the effect on businesses close to major ports of customs delays after the UK leaves the EU.

The Department has engaged with over 500 businesses across the UK to understand the potential impacts of customs delays. We will continue to work closely with business.
This is a complex issue which could affect a wide range of sectors. We are working with the Department for Exiting the EU and the Treasury to reflect business concerns, minimise disruption and maximise certainty.
