Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health, what estimate he has made of the cost to the public purse of GP locums in each clinical commissioning group in England in each year since 2013.

The requested information is not held centrally. General practitioners are independent contractors who have discretion on the number and type of staff they employ in their practices to assist in the delivery of primary medical services.
