The data requested is not held centrally.

The Cross-Government Suicide Prevention Strategy for England, published in 2012, included a key area for action to address suicide in high risk groups, including people in contact with mental health services. The Government published an updated strategy in January 2017 which set out how we are strengthening delivery of the strategy’s key areas for action. The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health, published in February 2016 committed £25 million for suicide prevention from 2018/19 to 2020/21 to achieve a 10% reduction in suicides by 2020/21.
