Israel: British Nationals Abroad

Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if he will make an estimate of the number of British nationals that have requested consular assistance from the (a) British Embassy in Tel Aviv and (b) British Consulate General in Jerusalem since 7 October 2023.

We do not comment on the specific numbers of British citizens within Israel or the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs) in order to protect ongoing operations in what is a fast-moving situation. The safety of all British nationals continues to be our utmost priority and we are doing everything we can to support all British nationals in Israel and the OPTs and are working closely with Israeli counterparts and international partners.
