BEIS Ministers regularly meet with colleagues to discuss matters that fall under their portfolios. To date, the Department has made available a total of £8.4m for compliance and the enforcement of the existing private rented sector minimum energy efficiency standard regulations. In addition, the Government has so far committed over £1bn for improving the energy performance of social rented homes and will consult on improving the energy efficiency of social housing within 6 months of the Social Housing Regulation Bill receiving Royal Assent. BEIS and DLUHC officials will work together to develop this consultation.
