The price paid by National Health Service trusts for devices varies significantly, as does, correspondingly, the cost passed onto the NHS. Analysis indicates the percentage difference between the lower and highest prices for duel chamber implantable defibrillators to be in the region of 90% and cardiac resynchronisation defibrillators 75%.
