Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what assessment his Department has made of the potential risk that proposals to cap ground rents could contribute to freeholder insolvencies.

The government is investing £5.2 billion to remove unsafe cladding, with industry funding the remainder through measures including the building safety levy.
