MenB is a serious and potentially fatal disease that can cause sepsis, meningitis, amputations and long-term disability. Those born before 2015 missed routine vaccination and remain unprotected. Cases still occur each year, and symptoms can progress rapidly. A catch-up programme could prevent avoidable illness and deaths and provide reassurance to families.
