The current immigration rules list which routes count toward settlement via Appendix Long Residence. Residence accrued on these must continue to be recognised for those of us who arrived pre-2021 and, in good faith, built 6, 7, 8 or 9 years of our lives in the UK. Removing the route without transitional protection may retrospectively exclude years (e.g. on Student or Graduate routes), forcing us to wait far longer, even 15+ years, despite meeting the new integration and contribution requirements
