Do not increase University Tuition Fees in 2026

We call on the Government to reconsider the increase of the University tuition fee cap in 2026, and keep it at the current level rather than increasing it to meet inflation.

We believe an increase in university tuition fees will further discourage young people, as well as mature students, from seeking higher-education pathways due to the rising costs and therefore the repayment implications once graduated. The government has published multiple plans to ensure UK students are securing graduate roles in integral sectors such as healthcare and engineering. Once again raising tuition fees directly challenges this sentiment.
