Don't increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP & change approach

We urge the Government to not increase defence spending to 2.5% of GDP. We believe increasing military spending would exacerbate international tensions and make the UK involvement in wars more likely, which could put all of us in the UK more at risk.

We believe current tensions in Europe are largely due to the foreign policies of UK and other Western governments. We feel that policies of weapons to Ukraine and sanctions on Russia have not brought peace any closer. We believe the UK’s interests and international justice would be served much better by policies of neutrality, diplomacy and by promoting nonviolence and self-determination of regions.
