We think this could prevent magistrates misconducting themselves and assist with complaints. Where a complaint is made to the advisory committee about the behaviour of a magistrate, we think this could assist in an prompt, transparent and fair investigation.

We think this could restore the public faith in the courts and prevent undue miscarriages of justice.
