Require drug testing for employees in certain roles

I want the government to introduce legislation for mandatory drug testing to ensure that workers are not impaired at work. This could include workers who are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of others.

I believe that mandatory drug testing could help to reduce the number of people in the who go on to become drug addicts. At the same time, this could improve productivity, safety, culture and wellbeing within our workplaces. I think that introducing this legislation, particularly for safety critical roles (such as for those in the emergency services, construction, security, the medical/care sector, energy and transportation) could save lives and transform our society in relation to drugs.
