Review the safeguarding and welfare of artists in the entertainment industry

We think large entertainment companies should be held accountable and responsible for the welfare of their artists. We implore the Government to review safeguarding and welfare measures used in the entertainment industry.

We think the review should cover intervention programmes which could be used to ensure concerns can be escalated regarding the care and mental and physical wellbeing of artists and others who work alongside them, within the entertainment industry, in any capacity.

Additionally, we want the review to look at raising the age to 18 to perform at entertainment shows, an end of career/contract transition programme, restructure of NDAs. We believe this is needed to help future artists and minimise risk from crisis and/or passing of artists.
