Urge the Spanish government to discourage octopus farms

It has been reported that in Spain, there have been attempts to establish a commercial octopus farm. We are concerned this could give octopuses lives of misery and we would like the government to apply pressure to the Spanish government to prevent octopus farms from being created.

We think that farming octopuses raises serious ethical, environmental, and sustainability concerns. Research indicates these highly intelligent creatures suffer immensely in captivity, and farming them could have other negative environmental impacts. We think that the government should take a stand against this practice to protect animal welfare and the environment.
