Fund the DVSA to increase the availability of practical driving tests

We think the current test availability is too low. If you want a test soon, you may have to pay a price for a test that we think is extortionate through a third party site. We think the government should ensure the DVSA has enough resources to increase test capacity to allow shorter waits to test.

We think it is very difficult to book a practical driving test across most of the country, and when you do manage to book one you may be waiting for 6+ months. People have requirements for work where an inability to drive independently could be causing economic damage.
We think a driving test should be bookable within 2-4 weeks.
