Ban websites from making people pay a fee to reject cookies

I want the government to place a ban on websites putting a ‘reject and pay’ button as the only option to reject cookies. Some websites, including tabloid news sites, have changed the options regarding cookies and now make you pay to reject.

I believe that this move by certain websites is a violation of our ability to freely give consent, and that we should not have to pay in order to limit the near constant tracking online that we are subjected to. I believe that making people pay for a subscription in order to access a website and have optional cookies rejected should not be acceptable under the law.
