Scrap the Sugar tax on soft drinks

The Sugar Tax was brought in by the last Conservative government in 2018 partly to try and reduce childhood obesity. We believe it hasn't worked at all and has instead just provided the government more money for no reason.

Instead of taking away people's freedoms of choice on what to eat and drink, we should be encouraging overweight people to live a healthier lifestyle and go to the gym. We think it's not fair how fit, healthy people can be affected by anti obesity measures including this sugar levy which we feel was a bad idea. In addition, some people with allergies to sweeteners may need full sugar drinks instead.
