People from the commonwealth serving in the British army, both men and women alike, and their families supporting them must fill many requirements in order to achieve UK citizenship. We think this should change.
We believe the UK government should implement a law and or programme that allows soldiers from commonwealth countries, serving with the British army, the right to fast track citizenship for them and their families should they choose to apply. We think this would not only boost the ties between our communities but also allow our commonwealth soldiers to be seen as equals and given the respect and credit they deserve, for after all they do the same job.
