The minimum salary threshold has increased to £38,700; we believe this is unrealistic and impossible for many people. We are concerned it will have a significant impact on graduates as starting salaries at many companies are lower than this. We believe it is unfair and discriminatory when a person has been studying for 4-5 years, contributing to the country via tax and building relationships only to be forced to leave if they cannot find a job with a salary above the minimum threshold. Thus, we believe it should be reduced.
