Exempt house cats from the compulsory cat microchipping law

I want the Government to reform the new cat microchipping law that does not exclude owners whose cats are housebound, and we believe don't need to be chipped. I think it takes away from an individual's right to choose what's best for their pet.

I feel that this new legislation is not born out of a genuinely popular public mandate, but instead of private campaigning. As an owner of a house bound cat for 15 years, I believe this new compulsory order is an infringement on my right to choose what is best for my pet. I believe it's simply not needed for some cats, and would ask that my freedom to choose, as a citizen of this country, is respected.
