Require pension providers to allow early access for retirement due to ill health

I would like the Government to require all private pension providers to allow people earlier access to their pensions if they can no longer work due to ill health, and the pension should be based on their original hours (not reduced hours they worked because of their health).

The Government should legislate to require providers to allow people to gain early access to their pension if they are unwell. After a specific period of time, if they have not improved, or have worsened, they become entitled to access their pension, based on their original hours. This policy could help people with long covid that are no longer able to work.
