Take concrete steps against Israeli settlements in Palestine

Israeli settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories are widely considered to be illegal under international law. Expansion of illegal settlements is Israeli government policy. Settler violence appears to be enabled by support and weaponry from Israeli authorities.

The UK government has put in place measures to help ensure that no company profits from or is complicit in abuse of Uyghurs. We believe it is only right that we take similar steps to oppose illegal settlements.

We demand the UK Government:

• Provide guidance to public sector bodies to exclude suppliers supporting the expansion of or profiting from illegal settlements
• Proscribe known settler organisations
• Extend the recent ban on violent extremist settlers from entering the UK to include those who choose to relocate to illegal settlements
• Encourage allies to implement a similar package of measures and sanction prominent individuals who support the expansion of illegal settlements
