As a wheelchair user myself, I have had many interviews for roles that I have dreamt of having that have gone very well, but I have not been able to progress further or accept the job offer due to no wheelchair access or facilities, such as ramps and lifts within and around the workplace. I would like all UK workplaces to be required to have wheelchair access as a standard so that there is equal opportunity for all and no discrimination. This will better allow people like me to make their dream job become a reality.
