Change the High Income Child Benefit charge to a higher or a household threshold

The High Income Child Benefit charge is unfair. The charge is imposed against individual salaries of over £50k rather than against total household income - this means children who are supported by joint parental salaries of £99k do not lose out, but children who rely on a single income of £51k do.

The government has made a mistake here and they should correct this as this just doesn't make sense.
The current High Income Charge is based on individuals salary not on a household threshold. This should be a household threshold not an individual one.
