Make failing to report drink driving with child passengers an offence

The Government should create a specific criminal offence of failing to report when someone under the influence of drugs or alcohol attempts to drive a vehicle with children as passengers.

This should apply to all adults, including passengers in the vehicle, even those who have no parental responsibility over the children.

This should encourage more people to take responsibility for the safety of children in vehicles, by introducing a penalty for failing to report such dangerous actions to the police.
