At present staff of the NHS Ambulance service are the only NHS staff entitled to receive Jubilee medals, following 5 years of service.
This does not recognise the work that other areas of the NHS perform each day. The Ambulance service is the only part of the ambulance service to receive medals for Jubilees, Long Service and has its own award for excellent service the Queens Ambulance Medal. The rest of the NHS is excluded from these honours.
