Ban car exhaust modifications.

Ban the modification of car exhausts, so that vehicles can drive past my place of residence quietly, without sounding like an elephant has eaten a trumpet and is having an extremely painful bowel movement the following day.

It’s already illegal to modify the exhaust system to make a vehicle noisier after it has been ‘type approved’ (checked it meets environmental and safety standards): https://www.gov.uk/noise-pollution-road-train-plane The police are responsible for taking action if a vehicle’s silencer doesn’t work in the way it was designed or if a person is driving in a way that creates too much noise.
