For example our community hospital was opened in 1988.
Funds were raised by local people with the fundamental aim to provide inpatient beds for local people. Beds were subsequently closed in stages due to funding cuts. Now run as health hub which has benefits but does not best meet the needs of local vulnerable patients.
Government to earmark funds for this purpose only so that money is not filtered to other "needs" and to accept local people need local inpatient beds funded by NHS
