Raise the rate of income tax and corporation tax to fund the NHS.

Raise the rate of income tax in all bands and also corporation tax by 2p. This should generate £14bn and £5bn respectively, a total of £19bn. All of this additional tax be given to the NHS on top of the current budget of £134bn. Devolved governments to be given a pro-rata share.

The current crisis shows that the NHS has been underfunded for years in terms of spending on equipment and also on wages. We need a properly funded NHS to keep the country fit & healthy rather than one where we have to wait for weeks to see GPs that are under immense pressure & workload, or months to be able to get into hospital for needed operations.
The staff in the NHS are working too hard with too few resources. It's time to change that.
