Create a way for the public to donate money to help pay the COVID-19 deficit

Many UK citizens with good incomes or substantial wealth can contribute to the COVID-19 effort and thus reduce the debt burden. The government should create a simple mechanism so that UK taxpayers in a position to help can donate money to help pay the national debt.
