The government should stop schools from doing this to protect students from danger and stop parents from worrying.

Students are going home too late due to long detentions which could put them in danger from gangs and violence. Additionally, parents aren't being informed and are left to worry about their children being hurt. Also, some children live further away from schools and will return home even later.
