The spread of corona virus is putting an enormous challenge on the beauty industry. All beauty treatments require very close one-to-one contact which puts both therapists and clients at risk of infection. Approximately (57)% of the people who work in the beauty and hairdressing industry are self-employed individuals, who are particularly vulnerable at the moment but could not afford to stop working. The UK government could help both businesses and individuals by restricting beauty treatments for a limited period and by providing economic support to those affected.
