Allow for a gender neutral option on a passport, such as an "X"

I would like the Government and Parliament to consider adding a third gender neutral option people who are non-binary or do not wish to disclose their gender identity. Times are changing and it is time the systems that rely on a gender binary caught up.

In the National LGBT Survey, we see that 6.9% of the respondents identified as non-binary, 57% of those were below 35 years old, 36% were older. This to me shows that non-binary is a very present community in Britain and becoming a more accessible label for people to identify with. We should acknowledge this community by allowing them the option to put their gender on legal paperwork such as passports. Similar to what Australia, Pakistan, and the Netherlands (among others) have done.
