Coeliac Disease is an autoimmune condition that is caused by a reaction to gluten. The treatment requires a gluten-free diet but allows someone to be in perfect health otherwise. Statistics show that, “Coeliac disease is a condition that affects at least 1 in every 100 people in the UK.” – NHS, which is a considerable proportion of the population, many still currently undiagnosed, that are being disqualified from joining the Armed Forces.
