Expanded polystyrene is a non biodegradable plastic product that is used in various applications from food to packaging. It can be recycled however it almost never is. This means litter often ends up polluting shores and waterways.

In the ever increasing need for sustainable waste solutions polystyrene is very much lagging behind. We propose that all kerbside recycling collections allow polystyrene to be put in and recycled appropriately. This will go some small way to reducing the pollution that we as a nation create.
