Mental illness is a rising issue in the UK. Employers must educate themselves on how to handle employees dealing with mental illness, which increases the time off work for the employee. 1 in 4 people suffer from mental illness. It needs to be addressed and taken seriously.

All employers must be required to provide their employees access to mental health assistance, offering them support and help during a difficult time. Employers must also be required to send their staff on mental illness training so they know how to approach employees with mental illness.
