Public Finance magazine, MP’s and Local Authorities continue to voice their concerns over these costs. Some say they are overbearing, some say 30%+ of homeowners’ Council Tax goes to fund the Local Authority Pension Scheme. Unions say they will fight to protect members’ benefits. A House of Commons Report says Private Sector pay is about 80% approx of Public Sector pay. Personal tax bills should set out the individual taxpayer’s commitment to Public Sector pay.
